ABSTRACT

Data Integrity in field and laboratory activities has been a topic of concern within EPA since the late 1990s. As a result, the requirement for Data Integrity policies and procedures were incorporated into The NELAC Institute’s (TNI) Standards for Laboratory and Field Activities.

The definition of “data integrity” as defined by the TNI Standards describes the various characteristics that comprise data integrity. Translating these attributes into actual procedures is the subject of this presentation. Organizations will be able to evaluate their own processes against the identified acceptable and unacceptable practices (the “dos” and don’ts”).
