Scott Haas, Chair, TNI Field Activities Expert Committee
Scott started working for a commercial laboratory during his junior year of high school and has recently retired from full-time lab work to grow his financial advising business. He has worn many different hats over the last 35 years. This list includes Lab Tech, Chemist, Project Manager, Vice-President, Quality Director, Operations QA/QC Manager, Quality Manager and now, Investment Advisor Representative of all things. Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, is a good problem solver, a capable public speaker, and enjoys Zteaching. He specializes in process development, formalization, and improvement.
Scott’s industry experience includes public and private sector companies as well as serving on advisory boards and committees. He was a member of the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality Laboratory Advisory Council from 2006-2012 and has been active in The National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Council (NELAC) Institute (TNI) for many years. In TNI, he has served on the Proficiency Testing (PT) Program Executive Committee and is the current chair of the National Environmental Field Accreditation Program (NEFAP) Field Activities Committee (FAC). He also served on the TNI Mobile Laboratory (Field Activities) Task Force.
Outside of the lab, Scott enjoys various car projects and venturing into the great outdoors with his family. Scott, and his wife Amy, have been married for 29 years, have three children and two sons-in-law. They are very active in their church as a family and are always looking forward to the next road trip together!
