Janice Willey, US Navy
Janice Willey is a senior chemist in the NAVSEA 04Q’s Laboratory Quality & Accreditation Office (LQAO) in Goose Creek, South Carolina and has worked for the LQAO since 2004. Ms. Willey is a subject matter expert for the DoD for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) sampling and analysis. In this role, she represents the United States as a member of the NATO Science and Technology (STO) technical committee AVT-ET-239, PFAS in the Environment: Mitigation, Remediation and Risk Management for NATO Members. She also serves as the Chair of the Chemicals of Emerging Concern (CEC) Subgroup of the DoD Environmental Data Quality Workgroup (EDQW) and is a member of the Strategic Environmental Research Development Program/Environmental Security Technology Certification Program (SERDP/ESTCP) PFAS Technical Workgroup. She collaborates with other DoD services as well as the DOE, EPA, State, and other regulatory entities on environmental sampling and analysis issues.
