Working with the New MDL


SYNOPSIS

Thirty years after initial publication of the 40 CFR Part 136 Method Detection Limit (MDL) procedure, EPA has proposed to revise the procedure, following a collaborative development process between TNI and EPA. This presentation will discuss the reasons for the changes and examine practical ways in which laboratories can efficiently comply with the new requirements.

Dr. Burrows has a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from the University of Bristol, and over 25 years of experience in environmental analysis. He is currently a Corporate Technical Director at TestAmerica, and Chair of the TNI Chemistry Expert Committee.
