Welcome to the Environmental Field Sampling and Measurement Conclave
TNI will be holding its Second Annual Environmental Field Sampling and Measurement Conclave on June 4-6, 2024, as a virtual meeting sponsored by TNI’s National Environmental Field Activities Program (NEFAP). NEFAP’s mission is to establish and implement an accreditation program for field sampling and measurement organizations (FSMOs).
The Conclave will run from 12:00 to 4:00 pm EDT and feature 17 presentations by various industry experts supporting the critical aspects of field sampling and measurement. In addition, Silky Labie from ELCAT, LLC will teach an ethics and data integrity course on Thursday morning that is included as part of the program. Presenters include representatives from regulators such as the EPA, Field Sampling and Measurement Organizations (FSMOs), Accreditation Bodies (ABs) and Consultants. This is a great opportunity for FSMOs, laboratories and other interested parties to learn more about field sampling techniques, regulations, and appropriate field practices that help ensure data collected in the field is accurate and reliable. The Conclave will also bring awareness to the industry of TNI's quality management system standard and accreditation program for FSMOs. Each day will close with a 30-minute presentation that is an overview of specific sections of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and the TNI FSMO Standard - Volume 1.
This Conclave provides a valuable opportunity to learn technological advances in sampling and to gain a better understanding of the impacts sampling can have on data reliability As an attendee, you will learn about:
- improving the quality of field sampling and measurements;
- new field technologies and regulations;
- accreditation opportunities for field sampling and measurement organizations;
- strategies to help ensure reliable data; and
- sampling impacts on data quality.
