FSMO Accreditation in Latin America: A Challenging Approach

ABSTRACT

One of the accreditation programs for organizations that perform sampling and measurements in the field is TNI’s National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (NELAP), for TNI Field Sampling and Measurement Organization (FSMO) Accreditation; this program has an international interest in Latin America. In this speech we will discuss about the reasons that allowed this program to be one of the most applied for the accreditation of organizations that execute field sampling and measurements, specifically in countries as Chile as well as the acceptance of these criteria from the local regulatory authorities.
