EDUCATION
Ms. Villarreal has a Chemical Engineering Degree from the National Polytechnic School, Quito, Ecuador, and a Master of Science in Food Engineering in Montpellier, France. She also obtained a Diplomate in Production and industrialization of Cannabis from Central University of Ecuador.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Ms. Villarreal worked in life science laboratories, with specific expertise in food laboratories (microbiological and chemical test: AOAC, AOCS, BAM); , petroleum and derivatives tests (ASTM standards) and water, soils and gas emissions (EPA, SM). Knowledge of performing analytical testing processes: gravimetric, volumetric, HPLC, GC, AA, spectrometry UV-Vis-X-ray, physical properties. She worked at is several environmental laboratories performing sampling activities and test in water and soils. She worked as Quality chief in the Environmental and Petroleum laboratory of the Central University of Ecuador, in the area of waters soils and gas emissions.
As experience in accreditation, she worked during 4 years in the Ecuadorian Accreditation Body as accreditation technician, assessor and then Laboratory Accreditation Manager. Ms. Villareal works over thirteen years as lead and technical assessor in The American Association for Laboratory Accreditation for ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 17020, ISO 17034, ISO 17043, AOAC Guidelines, environmental and FSMO requirements mainly in South America. She obtained the A2LA Assessor Choice Awards The Best Assessor of the Year, 2018.
TRAINING EXPERIENCE
Ms. Villarreal develops and presents training courses customized microbiological, chemical, quality system courses, including internal auditor training, validation methods and uncertainty estimation. Ms. Villarreal has more than 5 years of experience as university teaching, in the following subjects: Organic and Inorganic Chemistry, Petroleum and derivates, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Statistics, Food Chemistry and Food Processing.
EXPERIENCE AS CONSULTANT
Ms. Villarreal has 20 years of experience as Quality systems Assessor and Technical Consultant for ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 17020 and ISO 17043 implementations process, including validation and uncertainty and statistical analysis in for food tests, sensorial analysis; environmental tests including water soils, air emissions and air quality; petroleum and derivates, food sampling; environmental sampling.
