Michael Pascucilla, East Shore District Health Department
Michael Pascucilla was appointed the CEO/Director of Public Health for the East Shore Health District in 2010. Michael is an active public health leader and past president of the CT Association of Directors of Health (CADH) and the Connecticut Environmental Health Association (CEHA). He is also the Northeast Local Representative on the Conference for Food Protection as an executive board member.
Michael holds a bachelor's degree in public health/nutrition from Southern Connecticut University (SCSU), a master’s degree in public health from the University of Connecticut, and completed a study-abroad Ph.D. program in Global Health from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, Scotland. He is also a graduate of the Naval Postgraduate School, Center for Homeland Defense and Security. He is a National Registered Environmental Health Specialist with over 30 years of experience as a public health official, with published research focused on water quality, climate change, citizen science, and food allergens.
In addition, Michael is an Adjunct Professor of Public Health at Southern Connecticut State University and a Lecturer of Epidemiology at Yale University's School of Public Health in New Haven, Connecticut.
Michael resides in the Town of Guilford, Connecticut, with his wife and two sons. He enjoys boating, fishing, and running local road races. He also completed his first marathon in Chicago last year.
