ABSTRACT

The intricacies of compositional sampling is often viewed as procedurally complex. There are many steps that need to be followed to ensure a representative sample is collected. Each step has particular guidelines to follow in order quantify the analytical results properly. The guidelines follow industry best practices developed from API, GPA, AGA and ASTM testing procedures. It is important to note, the guidelines below may be industry standards that may be difficult to comply with depending on facility design. If these procedures cannot be followed due to the facility design and it is determined upgrading will not be financially viable, parties may agree site design is sufficient and determine a manner of producing these samples sufficient.
