Katie Strothman

Katie Strothman has over 25 years of experience in environmental laboratory operations, quality systems, and regulatory compliance within drinking water and wastewater testing programs.

She currently supports laboratory operations at Eurofins Drinking Water & Wastewater Southeast, LLC, with responsibilities focused on data quality, process improvement, and ensuring compliance with state and regulatory requirements. She also serves in leadership roles within TNI and NEFAP programs and as an assessor for Accreditation Bodies.

Katie is known for implementing practical, efficient systems that improve consistency, reduce risk, and support defensible data during assessments and regulatory review.


Tracy Szerszen

Tracy Szerszen is the President of Perry Johnson Laboratory Accreditation (PJLA), a globally recognized third-party accreditation body headquartered in Troy, Michigan. With more than 20 years in leadership at PJLA, Tracy oversees all accreditation programs and global business operations, ensuring technical excellence and organizational growth across international markets.

Prior to her current role, Tracy served as Audit Logistics Manager for PJLA’s affiliated organization, Perry Johnson Registrars, a quality and environmental management systems certification body. This foundation strengthened her expertise in quality systems, regulatory compliance, and operational management.

Tracy is actively engaged in the international accreditation community. She participates in key global organizations including the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) and the Asia Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (APAC). Her involvement also extends to several national associations across environmental, food safety, cannabis, and medical science sectors, including The NELAC Institute (TNI), AOAC International, and the American Council of Independent Laboratories (ACIL). She currently serves as Chair of the TNI NEFAP Executive Committee and is a member of the TNI Board of Directors.

With over 26 years of experience in implementing and managing quality management systems and accreditation criteria, Tracy has extensive training and certification in multiple ISO standards and programs, including ISO/IEC 17025, ISO/IEC 17020, ISO/IEC 17011, TNI Environmental Laboratory (EL), TNI NEFAP, and DOD/DOE QSM requirements.
