Assessor On-Going Training - 2016 TNI Environmental Laboratory Standard


SYNOPSIS

The objective of the training is to provide on-going training for assessors. The objectives are to review the 2016 TNI Standard, provide updates on the interpretations of the TNI Standards, present recent Inspector General activity, review accreditation body procedures, and review assessment practices. Course content is based on the 2016 Environmental Laboratory Standard (v2.1) and presents techniques for conducting a process assessment.

The course is presented as a webcast in two sessions for a total of over three hours. The target audience is NELAP state assessors, NGAB assessors and other interested parties.

Course Prerequisites:

  • Students should be familiar with the TNI standards, Evaluation Procedure and Checklist prior to coming to class,
  • Students should be trained as assessors or auditors to the TNI standard or equivalent, such as EPA drinking water certification program, and
  • Completed some form of NELAP Assessor Training.

Expected Learning Outcomes:
Students will know the changes made to the 2016 TNI Standard Modules and the assessment process.

About the Presenter:
Marlene Moore founded Advanced Systems, Inc. in February 1992 as a consulting company specializing in quality systems for laboratory and sampling operations. She brings together the needs of quality system management, measurement operations and regulatory compliance.

Marlene Moore has worked and managed sampling and testing laboratories for over twenty years before providing her expertise to others. Current work includes assessing for laboratory accreditation programs to ISO/IEC 17025 and assessing to ISO/IEC 17065 for conformity assessment certification programs. Assessments are performed for A2LA, ANAB and ANSI. Additional assessor and auditor training was completed under the EPA Safe Drinking Water Program for State certification laboratory auditors for inorganic, organic and microbiology and as an ISO auditor for ISO 9000. Formerly an RAB ASQ/ANSI registered auditor.
